Having a shared Windows computer and want to lock a folder that contains some stuff that you do not want others to see? You do not need any software or application for this.

Just follow the following simple tutorial to lock a folder, what you just need is Notepad which is already installed in your Microsoft Windows OS no matter what version of it you are using:

1) Open Notepad.

2) Copy the following code and paste it in the Notepad:

Quote:
Quote: cls
@ECHO OFF
title Folder Private
if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK
if NOT EXIST Private goto MDLOCKER
:CONFIRM
echo Are you sure you want to lock the folder(Y/N)
set/p "cho=>"
if %cho%==Y goto LOCK
if %cho%==y goto LOCK
if %cho%==n goto END
if %cho%==N goto END
echo Invalid choice.
goto CONFIRM
:LOCK
ren Private "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
echo Folder locked
goto End
:UNLOCK
echo Enter password to unlock folder
set/p "pass=>"
if NOT %pass%== password goto FAIL
attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Private
echo Folder Unlocked successfully
goto End
:FAIL
echo Invalid password
goto end
:MDLOCKER
md Private
echo Private created successfully
goto End
:End

3) Now save this notepad file with any name but make sure that what ever name you choose you must end it with .bat extension, e.g, thewebsaga.bat, locker.bat.

4) Now double-click the file that you just saved.

5)  You'll see a command prompt window blink for a second and after that a folder named Private will be automatically created.

6) Now double-click the .bat folder-locking file you made, again. Now it'll show something like this:

All you have to do now is to type Y and hit the Enter key. As soon as you do so, the folder that was automatically created a few seconds ago will automatically disappear. You are done!!!
That folder is now hidden and none can open it but you.

7) For opening that folder, all you have to do is to double-click the .bat file again. This time it'll show:

Now just enter the set password and hit Enter and the folder will be visible to you again, the default password is thewebsaga
You can select your own password by replacing thewebsaga in the code we provided you above with any phrase you like to be set as your password!

For hiding the folder again, you'll have to open the .bat file again and go through the same procedure. :)

Mozilla Firefox, one of the most popular and widely used web browsers in the world, allows you to save your login details (your usernames and passwords on various websites), this feature actually helps you because if you are having a personal computer or a personal laptop and don't want to lose or forget your login details on different sites, this feature's gonna make sure you don't forget them by saving them.

But with that, if you sometimes need to give your laptop or computer to somebody for use and are fearing that they are gonna login to signs on which you have got personal accounts, then this tutorial's gonna show you to how to set a master password on the login details manager of your Firefox.
So whenever you'll request Firefox to display your login details, it'll at first ask for the master password and this password should only be known to you so only you can see your login details not anybody else.

Setting up a master password in Mozilla Firefox:

 Written tutorial:

If you're a pro-blogger you get curious about your visitors, your page hits, impressions, clicks, views and analytic stuff, and for these you can use popular geo-tracking tools like Google Analytics but if you're one step ahead in curiosity, this little cool (but a bit unprofessional step) is the best way you can see the geographic location of your visitors, and not only this but this cool widget can also tell your visitors that they're not alone who are visiting your blog. The widget you are going to use is called Feedjit.

What is Feedjit?
Feedjit is a live visitor traffic widget that is trusted and used by million publishers across their blogs and websites. It display's the traffic of website in real-time. Feedjit plays significant role in engaging and creating an amazing user-experience.This widget display’s the location as well as the last page user visited before leaving the website. The whole information that it provides is in real-time just like Google Analytics. If you are still not satisfied go to Feedjit.com and see the demo of the widget yourself.

How to use it?
First of all go to Feedjit.com by clicking here. Once the page finished loading, you will notice a tool called "PERSONALIZE YOUR FEEDJIT" (as it can be seen in the screenshot below).  From here you can customize the widget completely by changing the color, the number of visitors to show and other stuff to completely match your desired needs.

Once you’re done with all the customization with the widget, select the “Blogger” from the drop down menu and simply press the “GO” button which will take you to a new page consisting of the widget code as it can be seen below.

Now go to Blogger >> Layout >> Add a Gadget >> Add HTML/JavaScript and paste the widget code in the HTML box. Once everything is done press the “Save” button and that’s it.We hope this tutorial helped you and taught you how to display live recent visitor information in blogger.

How To Be A Google Power User...?

Step 1:

Step 1:
WARNING: I am NOT responsible for any expulsions or such if you do this at school/work! First, restart your computer.

Step 2:

Step 2:
Once you get to this screen, hold the power button on the computer until it turns off (no damage will be done, trust me).

Step 3:

Step 3:
If you did it correctly, you should get this screen. If you get something like "Windows did not shut down correctly," try again. Otherwise, select "Launch Startup Repair."

Step 4:

Step 4:
Let the repair go through. If you get this window, select "Cancel."

Step 5:

Step 5:
When you get this window, click on "Show problem details." Scroll down, and click the link on the very bottom. Notepad should pop up.

Step 6:

Step 6:
Go to File/Open, and double-click your "Local Disk" (Mine is D:/ because I have a virtual machine. Yours will probably be C:/).

Step 7:

Step 7:
Go to Windows/System32. Now do EXACTLY as I say, or you MIGHT break the computer. Under "Files of type," select "All files." Scroll down and find "cmd," then make a copy of it in the same folder (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V). You should get a file named "cmd - Copy" or something like that.

Step 8:

Step 8:
Find "sethc" in the same folder. This file executes sticky keys. Rename it to "sethc 1."

Step 9:

Step 9:
Rename your "cmd - Copy" to "sethc." Close notepad, and hit "Finish" to shut down your PC, or just restart it manually.

Step 10:

Step 10:
Once you get back to the login screen (where it says "Press Control - Alt - Delete." Ignore my background, I don't have that enabled), press "Shift" 5 times to open up the command prompt.

Step 11:

Step 11:
Next, we need to find out what user is the local administrator for this PC. To do this, type "net localgroup Administrators" and look for any administrator that does NOT have your school/work domain in front of it, followed by a "/." As you can see, one of the admins is named "qwaszx." You will probably see a name like this, since schools/workspaces tend to make it a random string of letters and/or numbers to ward off people from entering it.

Step 12:

Step 12:
Now, we need to change that account's password. Type "net user <ACCOUNT NAME HERE> *" and type the new password twice. It will not show what you're typing, but your keystrokes are being registered. You can now log in to your admin account! However, schools/workspaces also like to disable the admin account you just changed the password for, so you might not be able to log in. There is a simple fix. If you get that message, go to the extra step below.

Extra step (if needed):

Extra step (if needed):
If the admin account is disabled, type "net user <ACCOUNT NAME HERE> /active:yes" You will now be able to log in.

PROFIT!

PROFIT!
You now have full admin rights to the PC. Enjoy! AGAIN, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISTAKES OR DAMAGES TO THE COMPUTER OR NETWORK. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES!

Ever wondered how do they post those moving screen casting photos on blogs? I mean, we all know how to make screen cast videos (a video digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration) which are usually posted on YouTube as tutorials, for teaching people to do some computer related software stuff, but this cool piece of software (for Microsoft Windows) we are going to tell you about lets you make screen cast animated GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) which means that your screen capture recording will be made an animated GIF image, which you can then post on your blog!

ScreenToGif

The cool thing about this little piece of software is that its pretty light-weight, its own space is 8.37MB (8,782,336 bytes) while the package in which it comes compressed is just of like 870KB.

And one more cool thing about this is that it doesn't need to be installed, just after you extract it, double-click it and run it!

Click here to download this light-weight Windows application. Here look below, we also made a screen cast animated GIF using this application:
