How To Remove Vocals From A Song...?

Mostly while making songs, artists and their crew first produce the music and after that recording is done, or the anyways the music of a song is a completely separate thing from the vocals of an artist so it means that using a specific software it is easily possible to remove vocals of a song and save the background music as a separate music file or record your own vocals on it in order to make a cover song.

Today we'll be teaching you to how to do so...? Ever wondered how all those famous and popular cover song singers on SoundCloud or HulkShare produce cover songs having exactly the same music as the original songs by real artists...? Well, here is the technique that is available in many premium and advanced music software for making songs, but the software we'll be using is simple as well as completely free. Its name is Audacity. You can download it by clicking the following download button:

downloadbutton

The software will be compressed in a .zip file so you only have to extract it, after extracting it to a suitable place like your Desktop follow the following instructions:

1) Open the song of which you want to remove vocals.

Click File, click Open and select the music file (MP3, .wav etc...).

2) Now when your music file has been successfully imported, click Effect.

Now a long list will be opened in front of you consisting of so many awesome effects (that we recommend that you test afterwards this tutorial), but for now do not pay attention to these all effects, instead go the bottom of the Effects list and choose the effect named Vocal Remover (for center-panned vocals)... and a small dialogue-box will open in front of you. Click OK and wait for the vocals to be removed. A rectangular progress box will show you the progress. The waiting time is normally 3 to 4 seconds, but if you have got a song having more duration then the given time may exceed. After the progress box automatically closes, CONGRATS...! Vocals of the song you imported are removed. :D Now for checking, click the Play button and listen to the lyrics-less song and by clicking the red recording button you can record your own lyrics on the music file and export it (for exporting click File and then choose Export... The song will be saved in .wav format which afterwards you can convert to MP3 by some good online music convertor apps).
