Guinness World Records announced Susannah’s name as the record holder of World’s oldest living person and shared her photos, dressed smartly in a black dress, white jacket and matching hat, being presented with a framed certificate.

The 116-year, also known as “T” to her 100 nephews and nieces, was born on July 6, 1899. Guinness said that at the age of 115 years and 346 days she became the World oldest living person.

The former live-in housekeeper was to celebrate her 166th with two separate parties, one with her family on Monday while the other grand party with friends, neighbors and officials on Tuesday at her Brooklyn public housing community.

When asked for the secret of her longevity, “Sleep!” she told Guinness World Records.

Jones is blind and hard of hearing, but still can walk and “only takes two medications a day,” Guinness reported.

“I surround myself with love and positive energy. That´s the key to long life and happiness,” she was quoted as saying.
