What is an IP Address...?
Whenever you search this term on Google, it will give you a bold definition defining an IP Address as:
a unique string of numbers separated by periods that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network.
Got something...? I don't think so, unless you are an Internet geek you ain't gonna know what that above statement meant. Let us explain you in simpler words:
Just like a street address determines the recipient of a letter, an IP address (short for Internet Protocol address) is used to identify computers on the Internet. When your computer sends a request, like a search on Google, it tags the request with its IP address in order for the response to be sent back to your computer -- just like a return address on a letter.
Got it...? If not the whole thing, then maybe at least the dumbest of you would have gotten a merest shadow of the meaning of an IP Address by now.
How to check your IP Address...?
There's no need to. Not knowing your IP Address won't do you any harm, or any harm to your web-surfing. But still, we are humans. Curiosity is our old pal. Especially the youngest of us get curious. Same went for me too, I was like 12 when I got indulged in the world of the Web and after my really awesome experiences there came a time when I went in further to look for harder-to-understand things and I came to know about IP Address and I got curious to know mine.
How to know your IP Address...?
No, no, you don't need those awesome websites or software to check your IP Address. God bless Google. Just type what is my ip on the Google search bar and hit Enter. On the top of all the search results your IP Address will be displayed. Click here to go to Google and know your IP Address.
